Co-founder of Android Releases New Device - "The Essential Phone"

It look like there is going to be a New Smartphone Competitor in the Market. Co-founder of  Android Operating Systems Andy Rubin, has a new company - Essential. Yesterday it introduced the PH-1 but I'd prefer to call it the essential phone . 

It comes with a unique screen and camera setup.The screen has a 19:10 aspect ratio and comes with an LTPS LCD measuring 5.71” in diagonal and a QHD with a resolution of 1312 x 2560px.
As you can see from the images, its a near-bezel-free design that look like a cross between the LG G6, Xiaomi Mi Mix and Google Pixel

It sports an amazing dual camera setup at the rear (13MP). The amazing part of this device is that the camera and the selfie cam can record 4K videos. The front camera packs 8MP.
There are two pins to the right of the camera - this is where accessories can be attached to. There are 2 main accessories for now, the 12MP 360 degree camera and 4 mics. 
The Essential phone is a very strong device as it's built around a titanium frame. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. 
Under the hood is a Snapdragon 835 chipset (with 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage, no microSD slot). It will run a customized version of Android. Unfortunately with all these features, the battery is just 3,040mAh.  
The Device will cost about $700

When Will The Essential Phone Be Released?

Previously, reports had pointed to a spring 2017 launch but the loss of $100 million investment does not seem to have held the company as it announced the phone on 30 May 2017. 

The Phone is up for pre-order in the US only but it is not Clear when they will ship.

How Much Will The Essential Phone Cost?

As a high end Smartphone, it is priced at the same level of the Apple iPhone 7, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Google Pixel. I t is available in the United States to pre-order at $699. You also get an optional 360 camera for $50 rather than $199 if you pre-order.
